Range Rover Evoque - Jaguar Land Rover introduced the second generation of the Ewok crossover in the fall of 2018 in London. Now this is an exclusively five-door model with a hardtop, and the British decided not to produce the less popular three-door and convertible anymore.

The new Evoque continued the design line predecessor, which sold around the world with a "circulation" of 772,096 copies. The car has retained its coupe-like silhouette, sweeping roofline and ascending waistline, which emphasizes belonging to the Range Rover family. Of the most notable innovations, one should pay attention to narrow headlights with DRL flourishes, dynamic direction indicators, a minimalist front bumper design, twin taillights and retractable door handles like in Range Rover Velar. In addition, the list of model options included 21-inch wheels, and decorative plastic trims disappeared from the wheel arches.

Despite the external similarity of the new and former Ewoks, as well as the preserved dimensions and proportions of the cars (the 2nd generation is only one and a half centimeters longer, and the wheelbase has grown by two centimeters), of the common structural elements they have only door hinges. The model is built on a new Premium Transverse Architecture (PTA) platform with an improved front suspension with McPherson struts and a multi-link rear. The design combines high-strength steel grades, as well as lightweight aluminum elements.

The wheelbase has been stretched by 20mm for more knee room and more storage space for small items – tablets and bottles can now be placed in the glove box and center console. Boot space has grown by 10% to 591 liters, and it's also wider to accommodate a folded baby stroller or a set of golf clubs. With the second row of seats lowered (folded in a ratio of 40:20:40), the trunk volume reaches 1,383 liters.

The interior design of the second iteration of the Ewoka combines laconic forms and expensive finishing materials - leather, suede, metal, combined woolen textiles and recycled plastic. In the top trim levels, to the right of the driver is the touch-controlled climate control unit familiar from the RR Velar and the Terrsin Response system switch, as well as the touchscreen of the multimedia complex. The dashboard, depending on the level of equipment, can be arrow or virtual, instead of the “washer” of automatic transmission control, a joystick appeared, the steering column can be equipped with electric adjustments, and the seats can be adjusted in 16 directions. In addition, the list of options includes an air ionizer, a Ground View “clear hood” system that allows the driver to see what is happening in front of the bumper on the screen, and a ClearSight rear-view mirror, a high-resolution display that displays everything that happens behind the car.

Range Rover Evoque of the second generation is equipped with four-cylinder turbo engines of the Ingenium family, a 9-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive transmission. In addition, a version with a 6-speed “mechanics” and front-wheel drive is being produced, although such will not be supplied to Ukraine. Gasoline engines, depending on the modification, develop 200, 249 or 300 hp. The return of gasoline power units: 150, 180 and 240 hp Also, the crossover is equipped with hybrid installations.

The Range Rover Evoque crossover is produced at the JLR plant in Halewood (UK).
